Earth Hour 8pm March 29

Why not join a world-wide event and show your commitment to take action on climate change by turning off your lights for one hour - from 8 to 9 pm on Saturday, March 29th? As part of a global call for action on climate change, Pilgrim United Church is encouraging all of us on the Westshore and in the Sooke area to show our commitment to reducing energy use by turning off all of our lights during the same hour - what has become known as Earth Hour. "Even though the action may seem small, collectively it sends a strong message to the politicians about the importance of taking immediate action on climate change", states Elaine Hooper, the Chair of Pilgrim's Social Action Committee.
