Please come, if you are at all able, to a very important Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 15, immediately following the worship service. The purpose of this meeting will be to announce the outcome of the additional pledge forms.
As most of you are aware, the financial statements have been closely analyzed by both past and present Council members and clergy, and we realize that the building supports itself, the programming is not using excess funds and it is only in the area of staff costs that we do not have enough money.
If we have received the amounts that will carry us through to the end of 2009 ($7,000 for this year and $21,000 for next year) we will announce this and the meeting will adjourn.
If we do not have the required amounts of pledges for both years, we will need to
consider making a decision whereby the Congregation requests ending the pastoral relationship.
We are making all of these decisions prayerfully and with deep care and concern for all involved. God is with us.
