Throughout Lent, the children who usually do Godly Play will be doing a special series called Living in a Fragile World.
Peter Privett wrote the book as
a spiritual exploration of concervation and citizenship using the methods of
Godly Play. We've adapted it to fit the time we have to spend with the
children, and to focus on the issues relevant to living in Victoria, British
Columbia.
On the first Sunday of Lent, the story is similar to the creation story from
Genesis. Through the story, we will create an 'Earth' that will be used in
other stories throughout Lent. Then the children will go down to the kitchen,
and paper mache to make their own Earth.
